About the venue
Our guesthouse offers you a most enjoyable and comfortable stay in tranquil surroundings. Our aim is to provide you with high quality service during your visit, doing our utmost to make it an unforgettable one.

Guests are warmly greeted each morning with a delicious English breakfast. Sample home baked breads, local cheeses and fresh fruits of the season, or enjoy our continental breakfast in the privacy of your bedroom. During the day you are welcome to order a sandwich or a snack from our selection to enjoy while sitting on the balcony or relaxing around the pool.

After an enjoyable day of shopping and sight-seeing or back-to-back business meetings, you can relax next to the fireplace with a glass of the Cape's finest red wine, or experience a real South African braai (barbeque). Balcony views of the city are perfect to enjoy sundowners and watch the city lights welcome the end of the day.

Here are a few ideas of some of the things that you can do during your stay at Lala Khaya:
  • Shop or enjoy a meal at nearby Canal Walk and Tyger Valley, two of the city's major shopping centres
  • Sample wines and local produce at some of the Fairest Cape's finest Wine Estates. We're a stone's throw away from Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek wine routes
  • Have fun at the Waterfront, Grand West Casino as well as Ratanga Junction Fun Park
  • Play golf at 16 nearby world class golf courses
  • Enjoy the white sandy Atlantic and Indian ocean beaches, all within a 20 min. drive
  • In winter, relax in the large comfortable lounge warmed by a log fire. In summer, relax around the pool or in the garden. Balcony views of the city are perfect to enjoy sundowners and watch the city lights welcome the end of the day
  • Visit Clara Anna Fontein Game Park in Durbanville for a game drive

Facilities
From Cape Town International Airport Take the exit following the signs Cape Town/Bellville (M22). Keep in the left lane and immediately after the BP Petrol Garage on the left, turn left into the Borcherd's Quarry Road/Bellville M22 Exit. Continue along Borcherd's Quarry Road, keeping to the right, until the Modderdam Road intersects Borcherd's Quarry Road. At these intersection traffic lights (signs Bellville M10/N1) turn right. Continue along Modderdam Road, keeping in the centre lane, through the traffic lights at the 35th Street intersection. Then, keeping to the left, turn left into De La Rey Street at the next intersection (sign Parow/Tygerberg Hospital). Continue along De La Rey Street. You will cross various intersections, a bridge over a railway, Voortrekker Road intersection and yet another bridge over a railway. After the 2nd bridge, keep to the right and at the next set of traffic lights (sign M25 Bellville) turn right into Frans Conradie Drive. Keep left and at the traffic light intersection, turn left into Mike Pienaar Boulevard (sign M16/Jip de Jager Road). Continue along Mike Pienaar Boulevard, through a tunnel under the N1 highway into Jip de Jager. Keeping to the right, at the first traffic light intersection, turn right into Hendrik Verwoerd. Proceed to T-junction (traffic lights) and turn left into Lincoln Road. Take first right into Hoheizen Crescent, first left into Oerder Street, first right into Avery Street, first right into van Bruggen Avenue. Lala Khaya Guest House is the 3rd house on the left. From the East (Port Elizabeth, Knysna, Hermanus, Strand) Travelling along the N2 Highway, after Somerset West/Strand, take the R300 turnoff until sign Cape Town N1. Turn onto the N1, direction Cape Town. Take exit 20 off the N1 to the left (sign Jip de Jager/Mike Pienaar M16) and turn right through the tunnel under the N1, into Jip de Jager. Keeping to the right, at the first traffic light intersection, turn right into Hendrik Verwoerd. Proceed to T-junction (traffic lights) and turn left into Lincoln Road. Take first right into Hoheizen Crescent, first left into Oerder Street, first right into Avery Street, first right into van Bruggen Avenue. Lala Khaya Guest House is the 3rd house on the left.
