Izimbali Lodge is a world class accommodation venue situated in Ermelo, South Africa. 

Being a part of the 'mystery route', we epitomise a truly historic and mysterious past.  Izimbali features 20 fully serviced private luxury twin or single suites, a fully equipped conference centre which can cater for 50 people, and a restaurant which has become an institution, with style and cuisine to suit absolutely everyone. 

We also have our own art gallery, featuring artworks by well-known South African artists.

Our world-class restaurant offers style and cuisine to suit absolutely everyone's taste!  From our superb breakfasts, through lunches to our romantic dinners, our meals are legendary amongst both locals and visitors!  Along with the soothing background music and the stunning collection of local artworks, we offer an incomparable dining experience.

All our meals are freshly prepared from the moment you order, and we make our own sauces and stocks. We also have a superb range of fine wines to compliment any order.

Among our chef's specialities are:

Smoked salmon on a bed of greens, with creamed horseradish
Herb-crusted rack of lamb, slow roasted and flavoured with mint
Dragon tongue steak, stuffed with chilli, peppadew, and mozarella cheese, then covered in cheddar sauce and sprinkled with feta.
Mediterranean stuffed chicken, crammed full of feta, olives, peppadew and basil pesto, and topped with a napolitano sauce
The Three Tenors - beef, chicken and pork fillet, served on a bed of rice, with a choice of three sauces.
