Great location, Hippos came out to eat on the banks of the Sabie River. Great home cooked meals and friendly service. Comfortable and clean accommodation. Patrick was excellent on the game drive - highly recommended

From the outside you have no impression as to what it has for you. The place is fantastic!! Only the Sabie River separates the lodge from the Kruger Park. We saw game meandering by whilst having a glass of wine on the river edge patio. Everything about the place is top notch, the rooms, the thatched rooftop restaurant, the meals, the pool area and the location. You can choose between a Rondavel and a posh tented camp. The cost for dinner, bed and breakfast was only slightly more than a self catering cabin in the park! Stayed for 3 nights instead of moving on – it was that good. Other guests were using the lodge as a base to visit Kruger as day visitors and we would have done the same had we not entered Kruger from the Phalaborwa gate to the North. Dale, the owner and staff went out of their way to make us feel at home – so will DEFINATELY visit again on our next SA holiday in August this year.

You have got to give this place a try! So convenient to the Paul Kruger gate, and yet so peaceful once you are back at the lodge.
