Activities & Attractions
Twin’s Guesthouse is ideally situated in charming King William’s Town which is on the banks of the Buffalo River some 50km west of East London. Now the administrative capital of the Eastern Cape and an important agricultural and commercial centre, King Williams Town started life as a British mission station.

Whether you are into history, hiking, architecture, game viewing or even botany, this area has something for you. You can go from exploring the political history of the region at Steve Biko’s grave in the Ginsberg cemetery to doing one of the many hiking trails in the Amatola Mountains.

Old churches, forts, museums and memorials dot this rich area. If you have time for nothing else, a visit to the Rooikrantz & Maiden Dams Recreational area is worthwhile. An area of great natural beauty it features a hiking trail which forms part of the famous Amatola Trail.
