This beautiful 4-star guesthouse accommodation, owned and managed by Clara Wiehahn and her dedicated team of staff, is in a quiet part of Somerset West, just 40 minutes from Cape Town.
With breathtaking views of the mountains and the sea, it reflects the peace and tranquillity of the nearby nature reserve. Nestled on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain, it looks across to the Hottentots Holland mountain range, the azure waters of False Bay and the town of Somerset West below.
With its stunning scenery and panoramic views, lush indigenous gardens, luxury air-conditioned accommodation and personalised service, Spanish Farm is the ideal base from which to explore the beauty of the Western Cape. From here you can visit South Africa’s most famous wine routes - Stellenbosch (a 10 minute drive), Franschhoek (40 minutes) and Paarl (30 min), set off on safari or embark on a whale watching excursion.
The guesthouse is less than 45 minutes’ drive from Cape Town’s Waterfront and close to many outstanding golf courses, a number of major shopping centres, beautiful beaches and excellent restaurants, including three of South Africa’s Top 10.

Spanish Farm offers guests the opportunity to relax and unwind in peace and tranquillity, in the natural beauty of its surrounds. The Guesthouse and Manor House are set in magnificent indigenous gardens with beautiful fynbos vegetation and ample birdlife.
There are two rim flow swimming pools with loungers and umbrellas, and a sauna. A vast terrace has tables and chairs for dining al fresco or enjoying a sun downer.
Two comfortable guest lounges each have a fireplace and music systems. A well-stocked honesty bar allows guests to enjoy their favourite tipple on demand. The staffs are experienced, friendly and efficient.
With its conveniently central location there are plenty of activities available to guests staying at Spanish Farm.
The nearby town of Somerset West with its restaurants, shops and spas is just 6km inland from the False Bay coast and the resort towns of Strand and Gordon’s Bay, 20km from Stellenbosch – the oldest wine route in South Africa – and a mere 45 minutes' drive to Franschhoek.
All the sights and attractions of Cape Town including the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront and Table Mountain, are just 40 minutes’ drive away.

Guests, who just want to relax and unwind, will enjoy the two rim-flow pools in the garden and the sauna.
Delicious Continental or full English breakfasts are served on the terrace and light lunches and dinners are served on request.

Spanish Farm offers luxury accommodation in nine stylish en-suite bedrooms, each with doors opening onto its own private patio or balcony, in either the Guesthouse or the Manor House.
The air-conditioned rooms are airy, spacious, uncluttered, and decorated in a contemporary style with subtle neutral tones and some beautiful Cape antique pieces.
Beds are beautifully dressed with cotton percale linen and guests are offered a choice of down or hollow fibre pillows. Comfort is guaranteed with top quality mattresses on all the beds.
Each room has tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer, safe, satellite television, direct dialling telephone and generous cupboard space. Extra blankets are provided. Bathrooms are stocked with thick, generous towels and bathrobes.
