About the venue
Gobs Guesthouse is a newly established guesthouse located approximately 12km from Durbans beaches in the Umlazi Township area in Kwazulu Natal. Our guesthouse accommodation is located at an area known as BB section which is one of the up market areas in the township. We offer a comfortable, ambiant and friendly accommodation service which is just the start of your great stay. At our guest house you can enjoy staying in our 12 deluxe and comfortable guest rooms each with their own personality. - Take an off ramp to R102 Isipingo/M30 Umlazi
- At the robots take R102 Isiping/M30 Umlazi
- Take an off ramp to M30 Umlazi
- Proceed and pass the 1st robot (Megga City-Caltex garage)
- Proceed and pass the 2nd robot (V intersection-Krispy Fried Chicken on the left and KFC on the right)
- Proceed and pass the 3rd robot (Izwelethu Butchery)
- Proceed and pass the 4th robot (Mangosuthu Institute of Rural Development
- Proceed and pass the 5th robot (Mangosuthu Main Entrance)
- Proceed and pass the 6th robot (Kwamnyandu railway station)
- Proceed and pass the 7th robot (Zwelithini Stadium)
- Proceed and turn left on the 8th robot (Zwelithini Stadium next to the community hall)
- Proceed until you reach the T-junction and take left.
- Proceed until you pass 4 traffic humps and turn right to the road that takes you to BP garage
- Proceed until you reach robots (Z intersection) and take right
- Proceed and pass the church on your right, carry for approximately 3km until you see containers.
- After the last container take left into bambatha road and proceed with bambatha road until you pass four traffic humps.
- After the fourth traffic hump Gobs Guest House is on your left, 100 metres from the last hump built in African Thatch.

Tour
We provide a tour service with our 13 seater quantum in and around the Durban area for our guests at request. We will assign a designated driver and a tour guide to focus on major heritage sites in Durban including: South and North beach, Shaka Marine, Pavillion Mall, Sibaya Casino, South Coast Casino, Gateway Mall, Moses Mabhida 2010 FIFA World Cup Stadium, John Langalibalele Dube home (the founder of the African National Congress) to mention but a few.

Facilities
Gobs Guest House has 12 rooms that can accommodate up to 24 guests per night. If you are a group and you are interested in utilising our service please find out from our Manager: Operations of Amenities for a discount will be allowed excluding breakfast which is charged at R30 per person.
Menu - All our prices for bed exclude breakfast. Breakfast is charged at R50 per person. It consists of the following:- Cornflakes, Yoghurt, Juice and Fruits
- Two fried/scramble/boiled eggs, fried tomato, fried ring onions, sausage and toasted bread
- Tea/Coffee
Sunday Buffet - We also offer Sunday buffet which is open to the public from 11am to 19h00. The menu is determined by the chef on a weekly basis. The price for the buffet is R75 per person excluding beverages.
Braai - We also provide a braai for a party which costs R65 per person. To host a part a minimum of 20 people is a pre-requisite.
Bar - We also have a bar area which is open to all our guests 24hours. Under no circumstances are guests allowed to bring their own liquor. Liqour is available at
our guest house.
Check In and Check Out Time:
Check in time is from 14pm on the day of arrival and check out is 11am the following morning. If you want to check in before 2 pm, please arrange with the Operations Manager in terms of the rates that is applicable for early check in. Similarly, if you want to check out late, it is important that you talk to the Operations Manager to arrange applicable charges for late check out.
Room Accommodation Details:
Entry Level Rooms:
We have two rooms at entry level which have en suites; however they don’t have DSTV channels. The room are specious and comfortable. The cost for these rooms is
R245 per night. We also offer hourly rate for these room at R150 for 3hours.
Small and Cosy Rooms
We have two rooms which are also en suites small and cosy in size. These rooms have DSTV, shower and comfortable bed. The cost for these rooms is R295 per
night. We also offer hourly rate for these rooms at R150 for 3hours.
Family Room
We also have a spacious family room with two single beds. The bathroom is located opposite the room in the passage of the guest house. The cost for the family room is R300 per night. We also offer hourly rate for family room at R160 for 3hours.
Silver Rooms
We also offer two spacious and en suites silver room. These rooms have DSTV channel and are good for a long stay at our guest house. These rooms are charged at R365 and R375 per night respectively. We also offer hourly rate for silver rooms at R170 for 3hours.
African Rooms
We also offer two rooms that are designed in an African style. These rooms are made of thatch and the design is an open plan including the stand alone bath which allows a guest to bath whilst watching a Top TV movie channel. These rooms are charged at R450 and R465 respectively. We also offer hourly
rates for these rooms at R250 for 3hours.
Master Bed Rooms
We have a master bedroom which is elegant and spacious. It has an exclusive shower, a corner bath as well a two seater sofa for relaxation. This room also has a 42 inch plasma screen which has selected DSTV channels as well as a queen size bed for your comfort. We also offer hourly rates for this room at R250 for 3hours.
Platinum Room
We have one platinum bedroom which has its own unique character. It is furnished with a queen Italian bed, a shower and two windows small windows providing an
excellent view of embokodweni river and BB section. This room also has a 42 inch plasma screen which has selected DSTV channels as well as a two seater sofa for
your comfort. The charge for this room is R485. We also offer hourly rates for this room at R250 for 3hours.
Presidential Suite
We have a presidential suite which has an exquisite look and feel. It boots with a corner bath with stairs, a view that allows you to view the beauty of BB section,
an open shower, mahogany finishes of wardrobes and a queen size Italian bed. The charge for this room is R495. It has a 42 inch plasma screen which has selected DSTV channels. We also offer hourly rates for this room at R250 for 3hours.
