The chic town of Kleinmond is situated between Hermanus and Bettys Bay along a stretch of coastline which is a must for any outdoor enthusiast. You could never get bored on holiday here as there is so much to do from scuba-diving, mountain biking, abseiling, river-rafting, hiking trails, surfing, and rock fishing. Klienmond is a lot less commercialised than Hermanus but with just as much on offer to do and see.

Kleinmond is located in the heart of the famous Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve an area that UNESCO declared of significant importance in 1998. The area is managed carefully to preserve and sustain the natural resources found here. The history of this area goes back many years to when pirates and cattle thieves roamed around. In Kleinmond itself you will find Harbour Road which is the shopping street that leads down to the town's harbour and that also has an open flea market. Other shops found here include art and crafts shops, restaurants, gift shops and the Abalone Museum. Crayfishing is permitted but strictly controlled via a permit based system which can be obtained at the local post office.

Kleinmond is also ideally situated for the whale watching season from June to November each year. The beaches in Kleinmond and wonderfully clean and great for swimming. You can reach Kleinmond via the N2 from Cape Town or take the scenic Clarence Drive coastal route from Gordons Bay. There are many wonderful guest houses, bed & breakfast and other types of accommodation available in the area to ensure you have a great stay.
