One helicoptor trip company that operates from right on the door step of the Drakensberg Mountains is Westline who are based at the Dragon Peaks Mountain Resort Airfield which is in the heart of Central Drakensberg. They provide daily scenic heli trips using two Robinson 44 Raven II helicoptors. Both helicopters can seat three passengers plus a pilot. Westline have two full-time pilots - Kevin and Brett. They offer the following standard helicopter trips;

• Heli Flip 1 - a 15 to 20 minute trip from Dragon Peaks up to the main Drakensberg Escarpment flying past Sterkhorn, Cathkin and Champagne Castle.

• Heli Flip 2 - similar trip to Heli Flip 1 but with a landing on the Little Berg which is around 7,000 feet up where you can enjoy a glass of Champagne or juice. You then continue up the Escarpment and back down to Dragon Peaks.
