Not only is South Africa the second largest exporter of fruit in the world but it is also the world’s largest producer of macadamia nuts and boasts the longest wine route on the planet to date. If you are heading to Johannesburg then this is surely the most obvious airport at which to land, as it is the largest one in the country with the most international flights. Standing in the Gauteng province the airport is just a stone’s throw from the largest populated city in the country. East London Airport is located just to the South of East London off the main R72 route that takes you to Port Alfred. There is plenty of parking available at the airport with undercover parking available if you need it. If you are just dropping someone off there is a free 15 minute drop off place just outside the main terminal. There are a number of ticket machines outside and inside the airport to pay your parking before returning to your car. (more…)
