The Cape Town International Jazz Festival is the biggest annual jazz event in South Africa and is staged at the International Convention Centre in Cape Town in April 2013. Now in its fouteenth year this event is now attracting over 30,000 jazz fans. This years event will take place over the nights of April 5th and April 6th 2013. Forty international and national artists will play over 5 different stages providing a weekend’s worth of performances. Acts that have previously played here include Elvis Costello and Jamie Cullum.

One of the highlights to the build up of the Jazz Festival is the huge free concert held in Greenmarket Square. The Community Concert will take place on the 28th March at 17h00 and will include performances from some of the headline acts at this years festival. The crowds seem to just get bigger and bigger every year for the free concert so get there early to bag a spot near the front.

An exciting line-up is planned for this years event with The Brand New Heavies and Buena Vista Social Club headlining. Other great acts include Jimmy Dludlu, Zonke Dikana, Mi Casa, Khuli Chana and AKA, Errol Dyers and many more.
