Cape Town Pride Festival 2012

Cape Town Events

Cape Town Accommodation

This colourful event takes place between 24th February 2012 and 4th March 2012. One of the must-see events of Cape Town Pride is the Cape Town Pride Parade creating an eclectic mix of people, sound and sights. The theme for this year's eent is "Love Our Diversity" which will be evident across all the the participants, motorcycles, vehicles and the decorated floats that will be set to delight the crowds.
The Cape Town Pride Parade will kick off at 11:00 up Beach Road, which is near the Cape Town Stadium and will then make its way back through Sea Point’s Main Road, before ending back at the prestigious Cape Town Stadium.

Thousands take to the business district streets and march together with floats through Cape Town's city centre to the sounding of 1970's dance music. In 2010 over 8,000 people took part in this event making it the biggest yet. The event is very good natured but with a serious side as it promotes tolerance of their views to a wider audience.
