The air show is the largest aerospace, defence and security exhibition in South Africa. Some of the world's greatest aeroplanes will be on display here with some amazing air displays of skill and trickery put on for the enjoyment of the many spectators. The first three days of the show are Trade Days and given over to professionals and the media while the remaining two days are open to the public.

Public Days: 20th September to 21st September 2014

Over 95,000 members of the public attended the two day airshow in 2012 being entertained with mass parachute drops, exciting aerobatic displays and even an enactment of a mini-war. On the ground at the mobility demonstration track the public were able to watch armoured vehicle and truck displays. Loud speakers positioned throughout the show provide commentary of the displays and planes takeing off and landing.

In 2014 there will be a number of flying displays put on as well as huge exhibition halls where you can marvel at the latest and greatest in the world of flight. As well as air displays there will also be dynamic vehicle demonstrations and many static displays. in 2012 there were over 90 different aircraft on the ground for the public to wander around. The whole family will enjoy this day out with joy rides and an entertainment park put on for the kids to play on while the adults watch to the skies.

The Vehicle Mobility Demonstration track has 8 challenging obstacles including water features designed to put a variety of military vehicles through their paces.

On the public days the gates open at 06h00 for early entry with the first flying displays starting about 07h30 lasting through to about 17h00 weather permitting. As well as the most modern planes available there will also be vintage planes and parachute jumps.
