Average guest rating: Not Yet Rated

A wonderful old farmhouse, for all the people who would like to feel what it is like to live on a Karoo-farm for a little while. The farmhouse is situated in the most quiet area in the country - right nextdoor to the SKA-reserve, and will provide a technology-free adventure, and excellent, quality time to experience with your family, kids and friends.

In the middle of the arid, dry Karoo, take the gravel road, R361, 60km out of Carnarvon. Self catering, no electricity, 90% of the time there will be enough water, otherwise you have piggy-day, good sleeping, good visiting, peace, silence, fresh air. It is primitive and without fuss, and truly a beautiful part of the Northern Cape, with thousands of stars in the nightsky, and other than that only wide open spaces.

The farmhouse sleeps ten to fifteen people, with two double beds, ten single beds, three showers, three toilets, one bath.

We provide bedding and towels. The kitchen has a gas stove, and gas refrigerator with freezing apartment. Paraffin lamps provide for farm ambience, and gas geysers for hot water. No electricity and no cell-phone-network provide a lovely technology-free experience.
