Waterfall farm has been occupied by the same family for 4 generations. This quaint stone cottage was the first house built on the farm in1902. It has recently been lovingly restored and renovated whilst keeping all its original charm. The stone was originally brought from the village of Van Reenen by oxwagon and although there are now modern amenities to ensure comfort, the walls still stand untouched almost 120 years later.
Situated half way between Johannesburg and Durban the cottage provides the perfect stopover for weary travelers or for those who prefer 'the slow trip' between departure point and destination. If you dream of expansive views in every direction, a gentle walk to the river and waterfall and absolute peace then this is your ideal destination.
And if after a lazy day you feel the need for some company and a delicious dinner the famous Oaklands Country Manor is a couple of kms away.
