The Stone House is an historical farmhouse built in approximately 1938 to serve the quarry on Heilbronn Farm, in Piesang Valley. One of the main original Plett roads runs right past the house - used today only by a tractor, resident horses and grazing buck.
From the afdak patio of the farmhouse there is a serene vista of interlinking ponds with waterlilies and a seemingly never ending variety of bird life. If you're lucky you may even see an otter sneaking out of the Piesang River for a fish in the ponds! If you tire of the view of horses, sunsets and wildlife, you may take the canoes for a 15 minute paddle down to Central Beach, where you can experience the joyful madness of a typical Plett beach holiday in season.
