Gabbata Lodge in Roodeplaat offers a peaceful and tranquil escape from busy Pretoria city life. It offers a perfect setting for your wedding or conference set amongst 20 hectares of untamed Bushveld home to a variety of game and different birdlife. At Gabbata Lodge we are more than happy to help you plan your wedding and have put together a few different packages to suit the different needs of all our clients.  

The Gabbata team are professional and will take you through the planning of your event or special occasion step-by-step helping to turn the day into a complete success. Our desire is to ensure that nothing is left to chance and that the day passes off without a hitch.

Gabbata has on offer a variety of rooms. The feel of our suites is one of warmth, elegance and tranquil bushveld luxury. All suites are north-facing with breathtaking views. Roodeplaat Dam and its surrounding vegetation is visible. Our aim is to provide comfort and luxury. Larger rooms are also available to accommodate families of 3 to 4 people

Standard Room - All rooms have twin three-quarter beds and en-suite bathrooms.

Deluxe Room - All rooms have Double beds and en-suite bathrooms.

Open Plan Family Room - All rooms have four three-quarter beds and an en-suite bathroom.

Double Unit Family Room - These rooms have 2 joining rooms with one Double Bed and 3 Three-quarter beds and sharing en-suite bathrooms.

Disabled Friendly Room - The room has three three-quarter beds and an en-suite bathroom.

Crystal Suite - The room has a King-sized bed and en-suite bathroom

Honeymoon Suite - The room has a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom.

Gabbata's Restaurant, Tea Garden, Terrace and Boma are also open to non residents. Our chefs have created exclusive menus with cuisine dishes prepared with only the freshest of ingredients. We preferably use organic herbs and vegetables grown in our own gardens. Our guests can enjoy a selection of handpicked wines to suit all budgets. Gabbata hosts its own wine cellar with exclusive wines from indigenous wine farms.

Weddings at Gabbata - Gabbata offers an enchanting chapel, with elegant chandeliers, to accommodate up to 200 people where the ceremony of love, happiness and celebration starts. We are able to cater for both large and more intimate weddings in either one of our venues or lushes gardens. The neutral, warm interiors can accommodate any wedding theme or colour scheme. Breathtaking natural scenery offers an ideal setting for wedding photography. Our dedicated team of chefs will create a festive of food to perfectly blend with your unique experience at Gabbata. The luxurious, executive bridal suite doubles up as a honeymoon haven.

Wedding packages include chapel and venue hire, food, services, drapings and fairy lights in the venue as well as various more. We also have a variety of decor items for your convenience at the premises. Details of costs can be discussed with your wedding planner.

Conferences at Gabbata - Gabbata is the perfect place to host a conference or meetings. Our venue has a unique ambience that will add to the positive experience of all participants. The facility is modular and can accommodate small to large groups. We offer state of the art equipment and superb catering to guarantee a successful event.
