Airlink flights into Skukuza Airport in Kruger National Park

AirLink flights from from Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban into Skukuza Airport start on the 2nd June 2014. The airport is located in Kruger National Park and will provide excellent access to well-known Private Game Lodges, National Park Lodges and various camps located inside this world famous National Game Park. This new route offers real convenience for tourists and saves on the 1 to 2 hour road trip to Kruger National Park when flying into Nelspruit. This new route is sure to prove popular with international tourists and will also open up access for AirLink to create easy onward links to Botswana, Zambia and Mozambique.

From September 2013 visitors to Kruger National Park will be able to book flights into Skukuza Aiport from Johannesburg and Cape Town with Durban to follow shortly. Skukuza Airport has been closed for over 10 years and it is great news to hear that these new flights will be opening up again to the tourism industry.

Prior to this announcement visitors to Kruger had to fly to Nelspruit or Hoedspruit depending on where they were staying. Federal Air will be working in conjunction with Airlink to provide feeder air services taking passengers onto the game lodges in Kruger.

Airlink will be offering daily flights from Cape Town and twice-daily flights from Johannesburg with a Durban schedule to be announced in the future. Flights can be booked via flysaa.com from September 2013.
