It has certainly been a turbulent year for airlines in South Africa. 1Time airline announced on Friday 2nd November that it had applied for business liquidation and all its flights were grounded leaving many customers very unhappy. Even SAA which is owned by the South Africa government is in crisis with mounting debts and an unprofitable business as it stands at present. SAA is in need of a sever shake up with far too many employees in relationship with the number of planes it operates.

East London Airport in the Eastern Cape of South AfricaEast London Airport is located just to the South of East London off the main R72 route that takes you to Port Alfred. There is plenty of parking available at the airport with undercover parking available if you need it. If you are just dropping someone off there is a free 15 minute drop off place just outside the main terminal.
