The White Mountain Festival 2018 is now in its 13th year and is becoming a very popular event in the annual events calendar. The festival is a great chance to escape the city life and to chill out listening to some great acoustic performances from some of SA's top artists.
The festival this year starts on the 27th September and concludes on the 30th September 2018. The dates coincide with the school holidays so there is no excuse for the whole family to miss this event. The festival is staged at the White Mountain Lodge close to Giants Castle in the Central Drakensberg.
What to expect at White Mountain Festival 2018
A quick 25km tarred detour off the N3 towards Giant's Castle in KZN brings you to White Mountain Lodge, which is where this gem of a festival is held. With its spacious grounds, fishable dam, swimming pool, playground, convenience store, restaurant and charming old pub (with satellite TV and late-night live music), the lodge's many amenities add another dimension to the usual festival experience.
There are also loads of fun activities for the whole family, colourful arts and crafts, assorted food outlets, a beer market featuring several local breweries, plus a new tipi village - all set against a backdrop of the scenic central Drakensberg
This year's White Mountain Festival is coming up from 27 Sep to 30 Sep and is the perfect opportunity to unwind in a stunning setting while enjoying some of the best acoustic acts in the country.
Now in its eleventh year, the festival is held at White Mountain Lodge near Giant's Castle, just 25km off the N3 on tarred roads. With its spacious grounds, fishable dam, swimming pool and charming old pub (with satellite TV and live music), the lodge's many amenities add another dimension to the usual festival experience!
Situated only 200km from Durban and 430km from Johannesburg on tarred roads, it makes for the ideal weekend getaway and also provides easy access to a number of other nearby tourist attractions, including the Midlands Meander.
